Starting with a single 500 MW power plant in Queens, a year later, NYPA now monitors all of its generation and transmission assets from iSOC. That’s 16 power plants and over 1,400 miles of transmission line circuits. Data is collected from more than 24,000 sensors integrated into the equipment. Key highlights from that data are displayed in real time on an 81-foot video wall with over a dozen data screens.
